Mushroom Avocado Cheesesteak (Veg/Vegan)
Gather Your ingredients
Oyster Mushroom
Shitake Mushroom
Coconut Aminos
BBQ seasoning
A1 Sauce (or something comparable)
Cheese (Plant Based Option)
Vegan Butter/Mayo
Italian Roll
Avocado
Romaine
Tomato
How to..
Wipe dirt off mushrooms with a wet rag/towel. Slice mushrooms. When it comes to the Shitakes, be mindful of the stems, they can be hard and spongy! I usually cut off or finely chop the very end piece.
Preheat Oven to 400.
Toss mushrooms in aminos, bbq seasoning, & a1 sauce. Sautee on medium heat in olive oil (or preferred oil). For around 10 minutes.
Butter or Mayo your long roll and top with cheeeze of choice.
Place in oven open faced until cheese is melted, be mindful of over-toasting!
Top with lettuce, tomato, & avocado.
